Jesus the Prophet

Bible Matters 536: Jesus the Prophet

YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THIS LESSON.

The preponderance of evidence testimony from the eight New Testament witnesses will confirm that Jesus was sent by God.  God is the Father.  Jesus as a prophet, was sent to deliver God’s Gospel of Love.    Let’s review the preponderance of evidence testimony of the witnesses.

If you believe the bible, then you’ll believe that Jesus told you to worship the one true God the Father.    Jesus never told anyone to worship him!  Jesus said his honor is nothing!

Luke 4:8 – And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Luke 11:2 – And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

Matthew 23:9 – And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

Mark 11:26 – But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Luke 10:21 – In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

Luke 18:19 – And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

Matthew 19:17 – And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Mark 11:22-24 – And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

Mark 12:29-30 – And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

Jesus tells you that God the Father is your God.

John 8:54 – Jesus answered, If I honor myself, my honor is nothing: it is my Father that honors me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:

When you believe on Jesus, you believe on God that sent Jesus.

John 12:44-50 – Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.

God is to be glorified by you living your life by following the words and lessons provided by Jesus.

1 Peter 4:11 – If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

If you believe in the one true God, then believe in Jesus that God sent.    You believe that the prophet Jesus came to deliver God’s doctrine for the Jews and Gentiles.  You are to believe in God’s gospel of Love by living your life as a servant of God.

John 14:1 – Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

1 Peter 2:15-16- or so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:  As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

In the risen spirit, Jesus told Mary Magdalene, that there is but one Father, my God and your God.

John 20:17 – Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

The instructions are the same in the New Testament as they were in the Old Testament.  The preponderance of evidence is overwhelming.   You are to worship the one true God and no other.  Do not let the devil deceive you into thinking that just saying you believe in Jesus as God is going to get you into heaven.  God is looking for your good works.  Worship God and love your neighbor.

Exodus 23:24-25 – Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images. And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

Psalm 79:9 – Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name’s sake.

Job 36:5 – Behold, God is mighty, and despise not any: he is mighty in strength and wisdom.

Gospel of Thomas – Saying 15: Worship – Jesus said, “When you see the one who wasn’t born of a woman, fall down on your face and worship that person. That’s your Father.

Acts 12:21-23 – And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them.  And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.  And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

1 Peter 3:15 – But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Romans 12:2-3 – And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

1 Corinthians 14:25 – And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.

Philippians 3:3 – For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

Revelation 22:9 – Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

Recognize the doctrine that Jesus delivered to this earth.  Fall to your knees and worship God.  Live your life to the testimony that Jesus brought!

Revelation 19:10 – And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

You shall know God’s gospel of Love spoken by all eight witnesses!

         Believe in one God.

Repent and turn from you sins

Judge no one.  You live your life to the glory of God.

         Love God.

         Love your neighbor as yourself.

Endure to the end for the gift of everlasting life.

You know what God is expecting of you as a believer.  Simple.  Be a witness for the kingdom of God.  Not for money, but out of love for God.

1 Peter 5:2 – Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;

To God be the glory in all you do, Amen.
