Simply Titus
Bible Matters 558: Simply Titus
For all of you that think you are saved by
grace alone, then this matter is for you!
Paul wrote epistle, after epistle. Message after message with the word of God
known to be given to Paul through Peter, Jesus’s brother James, Luke and
Mark. Paul conveyed God’s gospel of Love
clearly in in this ministry as reported in Romans, Hebrews and Timothy. Out of the eight New Testament witnesses,
this jail ministry has presented eleven gospels of Love in the book, “Gospel of
Love”, Chapters 12.1 through 12.11. One
would have to ask is there a twelfth gospel of Love? The answer, is yes there is!
There is no doubt that God demands your walk
is living his gospel of Love. The devil
knows of God. The question you have to
ask yourself is when does your walk begin?
Your walk begins when you repent of your sins. Every New Testament witness, gave testimony
that repentance of your sins is mandatory.
AT least 45 times, God tells you to repent of your sins. When you repent and believe the gospel, then
you live the gospel!
• Repent of your sins and surrender to God – (See Matthew
4:17, 27:3, 18:3-4; Mark 1:15; 2:17; 11:25-26; 4:11; 9:47; Luke 5:32; 6:45;
18:17; 18:19-20;15:24,31-32; 20:38; 22:18; 18:22; John 3:3; 8:11; 8:34;
8:50-51; 9:31; Romans 6:1-2; 8:12-13,21; 12:1-2; Hebrews 4:12; 5:14; 6:1;
6:4-6; 10:25-28; 1 Timothy 6:10-11; 2 Timothy 2:19,21-22; 2:25-26; 1 Peter
2:9-10; 1:23; 2:1-3; 2:24; 4:1-4; 5:8-9; 2 Peter 3:9; James 1:20-21; 5:16; Jude
1:7-8,11; 1:16; 1 John 3:1-3; 3 John 1:11)
Mark 1:15 – And saying, The time is
fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the
gospel.
Matthew 4:17 – From that time Jesus began to preach, and to
say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
One thing for sure is that per God’s word,
when you believe in God, you don’t continue to live your life in sin. Beware of the simple plan of salvation
heretics. They like to leave repentance
out of their message and even tell you that Jesus did it all. He died on the cross for your past, present
and future sins. All based on believing in
this one verse and saying that repentance is not necessary for salvation.
Acts 16:31 – And they said, Believe on the
Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
That conclusion is arrived at by ignoring the
preponderance of evidence of the testimony of the eight witnesses. The preponderance of evidence is
overwhelming. How a heretic can believe
such a simple plan of salvation is beyond me.
These several verses tell you not to live in sin. There are many, many more!
Romans 3:25 – Whom God hath set forth to be a
propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the
remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Romans 6:1-2 – What shall we say then? Shall
we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 John 1:11 – Beloved, follow not that which
is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that
doeth evil hath not seen God.
Hebrews 10:26 – For if we sin wilfully after
that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more
sacrifice for sins
Following repentance, you follow the word of
God, born again and converted as a child of God. Two witnesses told you to be born again.
Four witnesses, tell you to be converted.
John 3:7 –
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Matthew 18:3 – And said, Verily I say unto
you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter
into the kingdom of heaven.
This is absolutely the scary part. On 9/6/21 when I received “Romans 8:28” as a text
from God and I texted the pastors of the church, telling them not to send
anyone to the jail with a promise of salvation by referencing a couple of bible
verses without repentance, the head pastor contacted me. He asked how I was doing. I told him great. I told him that I wrote the book, “Jesus is
Coming”
because people need to understand that repentance is mandatory for
salvation. I wanted to know why all of
the witness postcards at church did not include repentance? He said that there wasn’t enough room on the
card! My jaw hit the floor. My first thought was change the font! Someday he will stand before God. Deceivers do not fear God. End of call.
This is exactly why God is looking for you to
understand God’s word out of the mouth of two or three witnesses and for you to
use the preponderance of evidence standard to establish the truth in God’s
word.
Paul established the gospel of Love standard
throughout his epistles. The gospels of
love in Romans, Hebrews and Timothy are perfect. The epistle to Titus is no different. Paul starts by telling you that he is a
servant of God and also an apostle to Jesus.
Paul tells you to live after godliness, in hope of eternal life. Godliness – without sin hoping for eternal
life. Endure to the end. God is not looking for you to be abominable
and disobedient by living after sin, but he is looking for your good works in
loving God and loving your neighbor. That
is the gospel of Love.
Titus 1:1-2,16 – Paul, a servant of God, and
an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the
acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness; In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot
lie, promised before the world began;
They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being
abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate
·
Paul tells you to believe in God.
Titus 3:4 – But after that the kindness and
love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
Titus 3:8 – This is a faithful saying, and
these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed
in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and
profitable unto men.
·
Repent of your sins.
Titus 3:10-11
– A man that is an heretick after the
first and second admonition reject;
Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned
of himself.
·
Judge No One – You know sin. Move on and let that person fall in love with
God on their time.
Titus 3:2 – To speak evil of no man, to be no
brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
Titus 1:12-13 – One of themselves, even a
prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow
bellies. This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be
sound in the faith;
Titus 3:10-11 – A man that is an heretick
after the first and second admonition reject; Knowing that he that is such is
subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
·
Love God – Give God your best by being sober minded.
Titus 2:2,6-7 – That the aged men be sober,
grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. Young men likewise
exhort to be sober minded. In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good
works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
·
Love your neighbor with acts of charity and good works.
Titus 1:16 – They profess that they know God;
but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every
good work reprobate.
Titus 2:2,6-7 – That the aged men be sober,
grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. Young men likewise
exhort to be sober minded. In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good
works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
Titus 2:14 – Who gave himself for us, that he
might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people,
zealous of good works.
Titus 3:8 – This is a faithful saying, and
these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed
in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and
profitable unto men.
·
Endure to the end in the hope of eternal life.
Titus 1:2 – In hope of eternal life, which
God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
Titus 3:7 – That being justified by his
grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Titus 2:12,13 – Teaching us that, denying
ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly,
in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious
appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Paul gave testimony and clearly spoke the
gospel of Love in Titus. Paul concludes
by telling you that the truth in God’s word and the message is clear. Speak this message with authority and do not
let any man fool you with false doctrine.
If some man throws a simple plan of salvation on you, save this message
to rebuke him.
Titus 2:15 – These things speak, and exhort,
and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
To God be the glory
in all you do, Amen.
