You Need the Supreme
Bible Matters 529: You need
the Supreme
Of all that is in in the world, there is one
thing you need…The Supreme.
When referenced, “The Secret Book of James,” by
Mark M. Mattison has been committed to the public domain and may be freely
copied and used, changed or unchanged, for any purpose. It is based on the
Coptic text of Nag Hammadi Codex I, 2.
The Supreme (i.e. God the Father, Allah,
Brahman) doesn’t need the Son. In
Jesus’s walk on the earth, it was clear that the Son needed the Father.
The Secret Book of James – Trust me about
this, my brothers (i.e., Peter and James). Understand what the great light is.
The Father doesn’t need me, because a father doesn’t need a son, but it’s the
son who needs the father. I’m going to him, because the Father of the Son
doesn’t need you.
You are to put your hope in only the Supreme
(i.e. God, Allah and Brahman.) The
Supreme is indestructible.
The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: The
indestructible, transcendental living entity is called Brahman, and his eternal
nature is called adhyatma, the self. Action pertaining to the development of
the material bodies of the living entities is called karma, or fruitive
activities.
The Cow 163 And your Ilah (God) is One Ilah
(God – Allah), La ilaha illa Huwa (there is none who has the right to be
worshipped but He), the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
The Women 171 O people of the Scripture (Jews
and Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of Allah
aught but the truth. The Messiah ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), was (no
more than) a Messenger of Allah and His Word, (“Be!” – and he was)
which He bestowed on Maryam (Mary) and a spirit (Ruh) created by Him; so
believe in Allah and His Messengers. Say not: “Three (trinity)!”
Cease! (it is) better for you. For Allah is (the only) One Ilah (God), Glory be
to Him (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belongs all that is in
the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is All-Sufficient as a
Disposer of affairs.
When Jesus stood before Pontius Pilate, He
told him that power came from God above.
John 19:11 – Jesus answered, Thou could have
no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he
that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.
After God had raised Jesus from the dead,
Jesus met with his disciples in the upper room.
Jesus breathed on them to give them the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost did not come onto the
disciples at this time!
John 20:21-22 – Then said Jesus to them
again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And
when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the
Holy Ghost:
The Holy Ghost was sent from heaven above by God
the Father.
Acts 2:1-4 – And when the day of Pentecost
was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there
came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the
house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like
as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the
Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them
utterance.
1 Peter 1:12 – Unto whom it was revealed,
that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are
now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the
Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
John 14:26 – But the Comforter, which is the
Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all
things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto
you.
Acts 5:32 – And we are his witnesses of these
things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey
him.
Romans 5:5 – And hope maketh not ashamed;
because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is
given unto us.
Hebrews 2:4 – God also bearing them witness,
both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy
Ghost, according to his own will?
Jesus told you that you need the Father! When you do the will of God, he will love
you. Yes, as Jesus’s equal.
Secret Book of James – In response the Lord
said, “What good is it to you if you do the will of the Father, and he doesn’t
give it to you as a gift when you’re tempted by Satan? But if you’re oppressed
by Satan and persecuted and do (God’s)
will, I [say] that he’ll love you, make you my equal, and regard [you]
as having become beloved through his forethought by your own choice. So, won’t you stop loving the flesh and being
afraid of sufferings? Or don’t you know that you haven’t yet been abused,
unjustly accused, locked up in prison, illegally condemned, crucified by
reason, nor buried in the sand as I myself was by the evil one? Do you dare to
spare the flesh, you for whom the Spirit is a surrounding wall? If you consider
how long the world existed <before> you, and how long it will exist after
you, you’ll find that your life is a single day and your sufferings a single
hour. For the good won’t come into the world. So, scorn death and take thought
for life! Remember my cross and my death, and you’ll live!”
James gave testimony of Jesus visiting the
disciples, 550 days after he returned from the dead. Jesus told them that no one will enter into
the kingdom of heaven, if he orders it!
He told them to do the will of God.
Secret Book of James – The Savior Appears – Now
all twelve disciples [were] sitting together [at the same time] recalling what
the Savior had told each of them, whether privately or publicly, and organizing
it in books. [But I] was writing what went into [my book]. Look! The Savior
appeared, [after] he had left [us, while we were watching] for him. Five
hundred and fifty days after he had risen from the dead, we told him, “You went
away and left us!” But Jesus said, “No, but I’ll return to the place from which
I came. If you want to come with me, come on!”
They all replied and said, “We’ll come if you
tell us to.”
He said, “Truly I tell you, no one will ever
enter the kingdom of heaven because I ordered it, but because you yourselves
are full. Leave James and Peter to me so that I may fill them.”
After he called these two, he took them aside
and told the rest to keep doing what they were doing.
Starting today, put your trust in the Supreme
(i.e. Allah, Brahman, God) and follow the truth in his testimony from the mouth
of the prophets and witnesses. The
Supreme has made it clear in the Supreme Gospel of Love, that you follow the
preponderance of evidence from the witnesses and the Gospel of Love consisting of
six points:
• Believe in one true Supreme being. When you believe in the Supreme, then you
believe in the scriptures.
• Repent of your sins and surrender unto the
Supreme, with the Lord dwelling in your hearts.
• Judge no one – All believers will be judged
based on your pure walk to the words of the Supreme. Do not judge nor assume righteousness by
comparing your walk against another.
• Love the Supreme. Your walk will be your testimony by serving
the Lord.
• Love your Neighbor – Do good using your
talents with fervent acts of charity.
• Do the will of the Supreme unto eternal
life. The Supreme is looking for your good works.
Ecclesiastes 9:1 –
For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the
righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God: no man
knoweth either love or hatred by all that is before them.
To God be the glory in all you do, Amen.
