Bible Matters 387: Team Abba

When it is your Time to Turn from the devil, you must immediately put your trust in God the Father.  Your will and the paths you normally walked should be avoided.  You have turned from death and the devil is not happy.  It is not your will that is to be satisfied, but the will of God.  Pray daily that your cup of temptation be removed and God’s direction prevail.  All things are possible through Abba, Father!

Mark 14:36 – And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

Jesus overcame death.  God delivered his Son for you.  When God is for you, who can be against you.  By faith you will overcome.

Romans 8:31-32 – What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?  He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

With God as your guide, you no longer live in the spirit of bondage and fear of addiction and death.  In celebration you dry out, Abba, Father!  You are living in the Spirit as children of God.  As sons of God, you are joint heir of God through Christ.  You are on team Abba, as sons of God.  To be glorified together as a son.

Romans 8:14-17,19 – For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.  The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:  And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.  For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Galatians 4:4-7 – But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.  And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.  Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Yes, when you turn from the devil and put your trust in God for guidance, direction, wisdom and power, you are a child/son of God.

John 1:12-13 – But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

When you walk in the shadow of the God almighty, your old world knows you not.  With God as your guide, the places that you visited and the things you did to please the flesh and the devil, no longer give satisfaction.  The gifts that God has given you, now give you all the satisfaction you need.  For me, I realized that time with my wife on a Wednesday evening learning the word of God was more enjoyable than sports with friends.

1 John 3:1,2 – Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.  Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Maybe not immediately, but you will realize that your not as the sand of the sea, but a son of the living God. 

Hosea 1:10 – Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.

As a child/son of God, you have the power of Jesus Christ and the Apostles.  Not by silver and gold, but by great faith.

Acts 3:6-7,11 – Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.  And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.  And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.

With the power to overcome the flesh and your past, you will be recognized as a person of great faith. 

Acts 5:15-16 – Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.  There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

Your city will be full of great joy.  All manner of addictions and diseases will be cured.

Acts 8:5-8 – Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.  And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.  For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them : and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.  And there was great joy in that city.

Acts 28:8-9 – And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.  So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed:

No longer crouched behind the sins of your past, for you have been healed and you will leap up and shout for the Lord.  By walking in the light of the Lord, you are Team Abba.

1 Peter 2:24 – Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Acts 14:8-10 –  And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked:  The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,  Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.

As Team Abba, follow peace and holiness with all men. Do good works, volunteer, serve God and the things of God, endure to the end and you shall see the Lord.

Hebrews 12:13-14 – And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.  Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Jude 1:21 – Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
