God was clear in the Old and New
Testaments that the truth in his word can only be obtained out of the mouth of
two or three witnesses. Four times in
the Old Testament and eight times in the New Testament, testimony has been
provided from multiple witnesses that establishes God’s standard for the truth
out of the mouth of two or three witnesses.
Two witnesses have provided testimony that God is also clear that the
testimony of one witness shall not be used to put one to death or to rise up
against an iniquity.
Numbers 35:30 – Whoso kills any
person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses: but one
witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die.
Deuteronomy 17:6 – At the mouth of
two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to
death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.
Deuteronomy 19:15 – One witness shall
not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he
sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses,
shall the matter be established.
In addition, think about the
background and training of the witnesses. When in doubt as to the knowledge of
the doctrine Jesus delivered, one may lean onto their past knowledge and establish
doctrine not brought by Jesus. In the
case of Paul, not once did Jesus speak of women needed to keep their hair
covered. Paul taught the Torah or the
first five Chapters of the Old Testament.
Muhammed also taught from the Torah.
So, you can understand why both Paul and Muhammad says woman are to be
covered.
Paul – 1 Corinthians 11:5-6 – But
every woman that prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her
head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. For if the woman be not covered, let her also
be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be
covered.
Muhammad – The Light 31 And tell the
believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and
protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc.) and not to show
off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like palms of hands or
one eye or both eyes for necessity to see the way, or outer dress like veil,
gloves, head-cover, apron, etc.), and to draw their veils all over Juyubihinna
(i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms, etc.) and not to reveal their
adornment except to their husbands,…
Jesus was clear that his doctrine was
not the doctrine of Abraham. (i.e. Torah.)
John 8:40 – But now ye seek to kill
me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not
Abraham.
When Paul gives his one witness
testimony out of Romans, you must look at the testimony of the other witnesses
for the truth. When left to his own
accord, man will always resort to his traditions! In his epistle to the Romans, Paul found it
necessary to speak out against fornication with lust toward one another.
Romans 1:26-27 – For this cause God
gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural
use into that which is against nature:
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned
in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly,
and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Let’s review the scripture. In the beginning, God created male and
female.
Genesis 1:27 – So God created man in
his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he
them.
Matthew 19:4 – And he answered and
said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made
them male and female,
Mark 10:6 – But from the beginning of
the creation God made them male and female.
When joined together, the two become
one! What God has joined together, let
no man put asunder. What God joins, man
shall not separate!
Genesis 2:24 – Therefore shall a man
leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall
be one flesh.
Matthew 19:5-6 – And said, For this
cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and
they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh.
What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
Mark 10:8-9 – And they twain shall be
one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God
hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
Ephesians 5:31 – For this cause shall
a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they
two shall be one flesh.
Moses in the Old Testament, allowed
for divorce.
Deuteronomy 24:1-2 – When a man hath
taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favor in
his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her
a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his
house. And when she is departed out of
his house, she may go and be another man’s wife.
Paul being a teacher of the Torah (including
Deuteronomy) said for unbelievers’ divorce is permitted! Paul did not walk with Jesus, so he appears
to be teaching from tradition. Be leery
of one verse testimonies! Many a
Christian are walking this earth, divorced per 1 Corinthians 7:14-15, with no
thoughts of fornication that offends God.
No other New Testament witness spoke of divorce. One witness is not truth.
1 Corinthians 7:14-15 – For the
unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is
sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they
holy. But if the unbelieving depart, let
him depart. A brother or a sister is not
under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
When it came to marriage, the preponderance
of evidence from the testimony of the New Testament witnesses is that divorce
leads to fornication and adultery.
Matthew 5:31-32 – It hath been said,
Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the
cause of fornication, causes her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry
her that is divorced committeth adultery.
Matthew 19:7-9 – They say unto him,
Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her
away? He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered
you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away
his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth
adultery: and whoso marries her which is put away doth commit adultery.
Mark 10:4-12 – And they said, Moses
suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away. And Jesus
answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this
precept. But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one
flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. And in the house his disciples asked him
again of the same matter. And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his
wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband,
and be married to another, she committeth adultery.
Luke 16:18 – Whosoever puts away his
wife, and marries another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marries her that
is put away from her husband committeth adultery.
God hates sin. In the Torah, the witnesses gave testimony of
God destroying Sodom and Gomorrah, which was lost to sin. Jude and Peter also spoke of Sodom and
Gomorrah as examples of sin. .
Genesis 13:13 – But the men of Sodom
were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.
2 Peter 2:6 – And turning the cities
of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them
an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
Jude 1:7 – Even as Sodom and
Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to
fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example,
suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Society understanding of gender has
changed over the past century.
Gender – /JEN-dur/ noun : The range of characteristics
pertaining to, and differentiating between, masculinity and femininity. “Society’s understanding of gender has
evolved significantly over the past century.”
We know that environmental conditions
and chemicals have modified man and woman’s chromosomes and hormone content in
the body. Testosterone is being
compromised by microplastics and chemicals like atrazine which destroys testosterone. Levels of testosterone in the body are
severely reduced from levels in the last century. Do you know what happens when the body
changes because of environmental conditions?
God knew that judgement will occur
because of male and female fornication.
What is sin and what isn’t sin? Gender
strife and discussion of sin will persist.
Paul says there is no answer that will satisfy all. Avoid those questions!
2 Timothy 2:23 – But foolish and
unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
From the preponderance of evidence, the
witnesses have testified that adultery and fornication is sin. God wants your heart and your love.
Romans 13:8-10 – Owe no man anything,
but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For
this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not
steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be
any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou
shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Love
worketh no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
James 2:11 – For he that said, Do not
commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if
thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
2 Peter 2:14 – Having eyes full of
adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart
they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
From the testimony of two or three New
Testament witnesses, Jesus said that it is more important to understand, follow
and live God’s gospel that he brought to the earth, which will lead to a life
that will be more tolerable in the day of judgement for Sodom and Gomorrah. God will judge you by your heart. You are that city that will either follow the
words that Jesus brought or not.
Following his words and living the gospel will lead to favorable
judgement.
Matthew 10:14-15 – And whosoever
shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or
city, shake off the dust of your feet. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more
tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for
that city.
Mark 6:11 – And whosoever shall not
receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your
feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more
tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.
Luke 10:11-12 – Even the very dust of
your city, which cleaves on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be
ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. But I say unto you, that it shall be more
tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.
God is looking for you to live God’s
gospel of Love with mighty works. Mighty
works overcomes sin! Love, like you’ve
never loved before.
Matthew 11:23-24 – And thou,
Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if
the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it
would have remained until this day. But I say unto you, That it shall be more
tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.
Your walk with God, is between you
and God. The above study is meant to
tell of God’s issue with fornication.
Once you understand God’s gospel of Love, look at your sin that is
keeping you from serving God and serving neighbor. Repent of that sin. At this point, decide that you will love God,
love neighbor and follow God’s gospel of Love.
You are to judge no one. Let
your good works shine forth.
The will of God expressed in the
six-point salvation message, sent by God:
1) Believe in the One True God,
creator of heaven and earth.
2) Repent and turn from your sin.
3) Judge no one.
4) Love God.
5) Love your neighbor.
6)Live a life unto righteousness,
enduring to the end for the gift of everlasting life with God in heaven.
James and Peter give testimony of
converting others and providing fervent acts of charity to cover a multitude of
sins.
James 5:20 – Let him know, that he
which converts the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from
death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
1 Peter 4:8 – And above all things
have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of
sins.
With all the one-off verses,
scripture can be confusing. Once you
understand the testimony of two or three witnesses, then the Spirit of God in
you (i.e. the Holy Ghost) will direct your path. You will know right from wrong. For example, you are happily married, but are
infatuated by a younger person at work. The
Holy Ghost is telling you that it is wrong, but you decide to engage in sex
anyway. You just blasphemed the Holy
Ghost. You are told out of the testimony
of two or three witnesses, with the preponderance of evidence that blaspheme
against the Holy Ghost is the only unforgiveable sin. God is telling you that it is wrong, but you
do it anyway. When you love God, you
respect the truth in his word and follow it.
When you love your neighbor (i.e. your wife) you respect her and refrain
from sex out of lust with a coworker.
Luke 12:10 – And whosoever shall
speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him
that blasphemes against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
Mark 3:29 – But he that shall
blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of
eternal damnation:
Matthew 12:31 – Wherefore I say unto
you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the
blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
When you believe in God and the
forgiveness of sins, you don’t sin willfully and blaspheme the Holy Ghost. Paul made it clear to the Hebrews to
keep you walk with God to be pure. Provoke one another unto love and good
works.
Hebrews
6:4-6 – For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have
tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and
have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they
shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to
themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
Hebrews
10:26-27 – And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good
works: For if we sin willfully after
that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more
sacrifice for sins, But a certain
fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the
adversaries.,
Peter is
telling you to fear God. Once you’ve
escaped the darkness of this world, do not go back! For if you do, and you die in your sin, the
latter end is worse than if you had not known the Lord.
2 Peter
2:20-21 – For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through
the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled
therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the
beginning. For it had been better for
them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known
it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
2 Peter 3:17
– Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye
also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.
1 John 1:6-7
– If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and
do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have
fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us
from all sin.
Romans
6:9-10 – Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dies no more; death
hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but
in that he lives, he lives unto God.
John made it
clear in Revelations. When you know
you’ve fallen from a life of righteousness pleasing to God, then repent!
Revelation
2:5 – Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the
first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy
candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
When you love God, you look to do one thing, that is to do the will of
the Father! To be his servant and to bring others into his kingdom! God knows your heart. Look for opportunities to share his love and
word. Do not be afraid to share this
ministry. God is looking for your works.
Matthew 7:21 – Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter
into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in
heaven.
Acts 5:32 – And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the
Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
James 4:17 – Therefore to him that knows to do good, and does it not, to
him it is sin.
For instruction in righteousness,
Paul tells you that you must understand scripture. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and
lean not unto thy own understanding. James tells you to humble yourself in the
sight of God.
2 Timothy 3:16 – All scripture is
given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for
correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Proverbs 3:5-7 – Trust in the Lord
with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy
ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own
eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
James 4:7-8,10 – Submit yourselves
therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to
you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
So, ask yourself, “Can a divorced and
remarried heterosexual male or female get to heaven?”
When you believe in God, your walk is
well your walk with God. Turn you heart
to God, with a walk of love and endure to the end. Look forward to an experience of everlasting
life with God in heaven. Do not give up
a relationship with God, because man wants to judge you out of a one verse
testimony of the witnesses. God is the
judge! No man will be beside you on
judgement day. Just you and God.
To God be the glory in all you do, Amen.
