Matters 413: Blessings
The
recent lessons, The Godly, Heartburn, Merry Christmas – Love and finally Lord’s
Commandments have all led up to this New Year Message – Blessings. Today you are celebrating 1/1/25. The first day of 2025. Bible Numbers for 2025 are:
20 –
Redemption – to be redeemed out of bondage.
25 –
Blessing – by conferring the Holy Ghost and the authority to fulfill the
calling that the Holy Ghost equips us to do.
You have
left behind your life of sin and been lifted out of bondage by the grace of
God. Today you are leaving behind the year of the priesthood (24) to enter into
the year of blessings (25). Both 24 and
25 are the years of serving the Lord.
God will not forget your work and labor of love. Blessings are the way that the Lord rewards
to those that love and serve! Manifold
more in the present time and in the world to come, life everlasting.
Romans
6:22 – But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have
your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
Hebrews
6:9-10 – But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that
accompany salvation, though we thus speak. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work
and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have
ministered to the saints, and do minister.
Matthew
25:44-46 – Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an
hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did
not minister unto thee? Then shall he
answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch
as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these
shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Sowing to
the spirit, to reap life everlasting!
Galatians
6:8 – For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but
he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
These
blessings are supported by the testimony of several witnesses. God’s commandment is life everlasting.
Luke
18:29-30 – And he said unto them, Verily I say unto
you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or
children, for the kingdom of God’s sake, Who shall not receive manifold more in this
present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
Matthew
19:29 – And every one that hath forsaken houses, or
brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for
my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting
life.
John
12:44,46-50 – Jesus cried and said, He that
believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. I am come a light into the world, that
whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not,
I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my
words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall
judge him in the last day. For I have
not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment,
what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life
everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so
I speak.
1 Timothy
1:16 – Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ
might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should
hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
Heaven
and earth shall pass away, but God’s word shall never pass away.
Luke
21:33-36 – Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my
words shall not pass away. And take heed
to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and
drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that
dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that
ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass,
and to stand before the Son of man.
Luke 3:6 –
And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
By doing
the will of God.
1 Peter
4:2,6 – That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the
lusts of men, but to the will of God. For this cause was the gospel preached also to
them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh,
but live according to God in the spirit.
In this
year of 2025, plan on living in the spirit and serving the Lord! To spread the gospel and the love of
God.
To God be the glory in all you do, Amen.
