“AND” is a conjunction used to join two words, phrases, parts of sentences, or related statements together.      Examples provided in the Cambridge Dictionary. 

·   Ann and Jim

·   boys and girls.

·   knives and forks. 

In the above examples, Ann and Jim are two different people.   Boys are girls are children of two different sexes.  Knives and forks are two different utensils to use for eating.  “And” in a sentence doesn’t imply that the related elements are equal or the same. 

A follower had provided me with several verses, where God and Jesus are used in verses.   In several of the verses, God and Jesus are joined with the conjunction “and,” in the manner presented that the author claims supports the belief that Jesus is God.   In these examples, the bible edition for the verses is not provided. The verses appear to be from an AI search in Google or some other search engine.   In some examples, the complete meaning of the verse has changed in comparison to the King James 1611 edition.  Be careful when you try to find the truth in God’s word from such an AI search exercise. 

Multiple witnesses tell you that God sent Jesus.  The only true God had sent Jesus Christ.

John 17:3 – And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

The above verse is clear.  The only true God sent Jesus Christ. 

The AI search did not include the only verse that states the Word was made flesh, or Jesus is God.  This testimony is from one witness and is not to be considered truth.

John 1:14 – And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Let’s compare God’s word from the KJV1611 bible with the AI search for Jesus as God.

AI: John 1:1 – in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.

KJV: John 1:1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God

Finding:  Identical verses confirm that God spoke and all things were created.  This verse DOES NOT confirm that Jesus is God.

Psalm 33:6 – By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

AI: John 1:18 – No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.

KJV: John 1:18 – No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

Finding:  AI verse incorrectly replaces begotten Son with God.   AI verse is a lie.  This verse DOES NOT confirm that Jesus is God.

AI: John 20:28 – Thomas answered him, ‘My Lord and my God!

KJV: John 20:28 – And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

Finding:  Identical verses confirming that God raised Jesus from the grave.  Thomas never calls Jesus as My Lord and my God.  Thomas was giving glory to God.  This verse DOES NOT confirm that Jesus is God.

AI: Romans 9:5 – ..from them, according to the flesh, is the Christ who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen.

KJV: Romans 9:5 – Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen.

Finding:  AI verse incorrectly identifies Christ as God.  God blessed Jesus as Christ. AI verse is a lie.  This verse DOES NOT confirm that Jesus is God.

AI: Titus 2:13 – waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ

KJV: Titus 2:13 – Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Finding:  Identical verses confirming the Great God and Jesus Christ as two beings.  This verse DOES NOT confirm that Jesus is God.

AI: 2 Peter 1:1 – To those who have obtained a faith of equal standing with ours by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ.

KJV: 2 Peter 1:1-2 – Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: [2] Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 

Finding:  AI verse incorrectly identifies Jesus as God following the conjunction “and.”   The very next verse, 2 Peter 1:1-2 identifies God and Jesus as two beings.  This verse DOES NOT confirm that Jesus is God.

AI: Hebrews 1:3 – “He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature…“

KJV: Hebrews 1:3 – Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Finding:  AI verse incorrectly Jesus as an imprint of God.  KJV verse says Jesus sat down at the right hand of God.  Jesus and God are two different beings.  This verse DOES NOT confirm that Jesus is God.  It is stated in Acts that Jesus will sit at the right hand of God.

Acts 7:55 – But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

AI: Hebrews 1:8 – But of the Son he says, ‘Your throne, O God, is forever and ever…

KJV: Hebrews 1:8 – But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

Finding:  Both the AI and the KJV verse with Jesus clearly stating that the throne of God is forever.  This verse DOES NOT confirm that Jesus is God.

AI: Colossians 2:9 – For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily.

KJV: Colossians 2:9 – For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Finding:  AI verse incorrectly states that Jesus is the whole deity.   AI verse is a lie.  The KJV state that in Jesus dwells the fullness.  This verse DOES NOT confirm that Jesus is God.

AI: 1 John 5:20 – “And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

KJV: 1 John 5:20 – And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

Finding:  Both AI and KJV verses confirm that God is the true God of his Son Jesus Christ.  This verse DOES NOT confirm that Jesus is God.

Eternal life is a gift of God.  You must understand and live God’s word.

Titus 1:2 – In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Romans 6:22-23 – But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Worshipping Jesus as God, gets you nowhere.  God told you not to worship idols.  As your read and study the preponderance of evidence from the testimony of the eight New Testament, the truth is clear in this ministry.  God sent Jesus as a prophet to deliver God’s Gospel of Love.  Live God’s gospel every day, giving God the glory.   Do not be deceived.

Leviticus 19:4 – Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the Lord your God.

1 John 5:21 – Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

To God be the glory in all you do!  Amen.
